Our Story
I started the Chubby Hubby after over 35 years cooking as a pro chef in High end Hotels, restaurants, stadia and many years doing events and outside catering. More recently I was working in the offshore industry cooking and baking on oil and gas installations.
I have been shortlisted for Restaurant Chef of The Year by The Scottish Chefs Society among other accolades in my career and come Highly Commended from them.
I decided to take the plunge and go it alone during the COVID pandemic. This wasn’t something I did lightly but I really wanted to showcase my cooking skills and make burgers and street food of a really high standard.
I make all my own sauces and marinades from scratch to ensure quality and flavour shine through, and only buy the best of meats fresh from local butchers.
